What a day to be proud of our Under 9s! The boys delivered one of their finest collective performances of the season at the PAFC Tournament, finishing top of their group and storming through to the semi-finals with a display that had everyone watching beaming with pride.

The squad navigated their group stage superbly, picking up three wins and a draw to secure top spot before their final group game even mattered. With qualification already wrapped up, the single defeat in that last outing was nothing to worry about — the hard work had already been done.

That defeat came against YDP, who went on to win the tournament. But context is everything here: this is the very same side that put seven past our boys in just ten minutes when the two teams met at last year's tournament. Holding them to a narrow single-goal defeat this time around is a remarkable testament to how far this group has come in twelve months.

Throughout the day the squad played some of their best football of the season — confident, quick, one-touch play building from the back. They showed tremendous character too, battling hard in the summer heat and shaking off the knocks that come with a full day of tournament football.
