Peterborough Northside FC Photo and Video Guidelines

These guidelines set out the Club’s policy regarding the taking and use of photographs and video footage of players during Club activities.

1. Consent to Use Imagery

  • Registration Consent: By ticking the photo consent box on the registration form, you grant Peterborough Northside FC permission to take and use photographs and video footage of the registered player.
  • Purpose of Use: Imagery may be used solely for the following purposes: Promotion of the Club (e.g., social media, website, club newsletters).Team-based communication (e.g., team group photos shared on Spond Club).Coaching and training purposes (e.g., video analysis).   • Identification: The Club will generally not use a player’s full name alongside their photo on public social media or its website unless specific, individual consent is obtained for a specific post (e.g., “Player of the Match”).

2. Taking Photos/Videos at Club Events

  • Spectators/Parents: Parents and spectators are permitted to take photos and short video clips of their own child’s performance for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • Privacy: We ask that spectators be mindful of children whose parents have not granted photo consent. If you are taking photos, please focus primarily on your own child and avoid wide shots that capture many players unnecessarily.
  • Immediate Objection: If a parent/guardian objects to a specific photo being taken or used, they must notify a Club official immediately.

3. Opting Out

  • Right to Withdraw: If a parent/guardian chooses to opt out of photo consent, the Club will take all reasonable steps to ensure the player is not featured in official Club photos published publicly.
  • Notification: Parents/Guardians who opt out must clearly notify their team coach so they are aware of the restriction.
  • Group Photos: Please note that players who have opted out may still appear in wide-angle group team photos taken for internal use (e.g., within Spond Club).
